I’ve been talking about foundations for women of color for some time now, and I’ve always thought Make Up For Ever came correct when it came to this topic. I don’t think I’ve ever felt as though MUFE was a brand that overlooked the needs of women of color. Their foundations may not have been my direct go-to for a few years, usually coming in second to YSL’s Le Teint Touche Eclat. However, they’ve always been on top of having a foundation playground of shades and finishes that allowed women like me to play around in.
Nonetheless, the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible cover foundation found it’s way to my top spot last summer. With it’s velvety but natural finish, and buildable coverage, and 40-shade range, I couldn’t find anything wrong with the formula. Unless we spite the $43 price tag, the positives outweigh any negatives that may arise.
Head over to Sephora to try the foundation and let me know what you think.
