I personally think deep purple is an easy color for darker girls to mess up. I don’t particularly know why, though. It’s so fitting for those moods we get into when we want to look and feel more sultry, than sexy. Perfect for when we want to be noticed but not stared at. It’s weird. Maybe I’m thinking too hard on this one. But I love a deep purple lip on rich, dark skin.
What I wore:
I’m rocking Anastasia’s Liquid Lipstick in Potion. It lasts all day long, but it can be drying. Add a small dab of lip balm before applying.[masterslider id=”8″]
How I pulled it off:
I pulled my hair back (well, I did that for all of these shots). But, I believe that with a deep color like this, you either go bold or go basic. I love seeing girls rock deep dark colors with super high buns or ponytails (basic) or loads of feathered layered hair (bold). I just don’t think you can pull this off without preparing to make a statement.
I chose to go basic. Slick back hair, clean eyeliner and a fake lash. No blush, but a tad bit of bronzer.
